FAQ
Error message: “Extract air sensor fault” in the CI600 control panel – what does it mean?
The error message “Extract air sensor fault” appears when the extract air sensor is activated in the system but no sensor is installed in the unit. Flexit units are normally not delivered with an extract air sensor as standard, and if no sensor has been retrofitted, the system will generate an alarm. To remove the alarm, the function must be deactivated in the CI600 panel. Go to Settings, select Advanced user and enter code 1000. Then go to Configuration, select Sensors, go to Extract air and set the extract air sensor to OFF under Activation. Once this is done, the function is deactivated and the alarm will be cleared. Refer to the CI600 installation manual for more detailed information.
Is there a guide or guideline for the Flexit EcoNordic indoor climate unit?
Guidance for Flexit EcoNordic is available in the associated brochure and installation manual. These documents provide information about function, system design, installation and important considerations during planning and installation. To determine whether EcoNordic is a suitable solution for your project, we recommend contacting Flexit for advice based on the size of the home, energy demand and other relevant conditions.
Are spare parts available for bathroom fans?
No, spare parts are not available for bathroom fans. If a bathroom fan is defective or does not function properly, the entire fan must be replaced.
The yellow filter indicator is on – what should I do?
The yellow indicator light on the control panel turns on automatically every six months as a reminder to check the filters. This does not necessarily mean the filters must be replaced immediately, but that they should be inspected. In general, filters should be replaced once a year, preferably in autumn after the pollen season. In areas with high levels of dust or pollution, filter replacement may be needed twice a year, in spring and autumn. After replacing the filters, the indicator must be reset. The reset procedure varies depending on the control panel model. Refer to the user manual for your specific control panel, such as CI 60, CI 50 or CI 600.
Does Flexit sell products directly?
No, Flexit does not sell complete products directly. Our products are purchased through authorised distributors. We therefore recommend contacting a distributor who can help you choose the right product, place an order and assist with installation if needed. Find your local Flexit Distributor
I’ve just replaced the bag, but the vacuum cleaner still indicates a full bag – what should I do?
CVR central vacuum cleaners automatically display a full bag warning after 20 operating hours, regardless of whether the bag is actually full. After replacing the bag, the warning must be reset manually. Go to the vacuum unit and press and hold the on/off button. The unit will start and then stop automatically after approximately 4–6 seconds. When this happens, the counter is reset and the warning will not appear again until another 20 operating hours have passed. This applies to CVR models only.
What does GWP mean?
GWP stands for Global Warming Potential. It is a measure of how much a greenhouse gas contributes to global warming compared to CO₂ over a given period of time. CO₂ has a GWP value of 1 and is used as the reference. Gases with higher GWP values have a greater negative impact on the climate. In EcoNordic, only CO₂ is used as a refrigerant, resulting in the lowest possible GWP. The EU F-gas regulation places strict requirements on the use of gases with high GWP, leading to reduced use and increased taxes on climate-damaging refrigerants.
What are the advantages of EcoNordic compared to a traditional heat pump?
EcoNordic offers several advantages compared to traditional heat pumps. The system uses CO₂ as a refrigerant, which is a natural and environmentally friendly option with very low global warming potential. CO₂ is particularly efficient for domestic hot water production at high temperatures, and EcoNordic delivers a high hot water capacity compared to many other solutions. In addition, EcoNordic includes a fully integrated ventilation unit with heat recovery. This provides better indoor climate, lower energy consumption and fewer separate installations. By combining heating, hot water and ventilation in one unit, EcoNordic offers simpler installation, reduced space requirements and better interaction between system functions.
What is the difference between a shared system and central exhaust ventilation?
Both shared systems and central exhaust ventilation are exhaust systems that remove used and humid air from the dwelling. The difference lies in how the system is organised. With central exhaust ventilation, each housing unit has its own exhaust fan that controls the airflow locally. In a shared system, one common exhaust fan is shared by several housing units, where a single fan serves a defined number of apartments. The choice of solution depends on the building’s design, requirements for control, and the project’s technical conditions.
What is the warranty period for a Flexit bathroom fan?
The warranty period for Flexit bathroom fans depends on the model. Standard bathroom fans have a complaint period of 2 years. The complaint period is valid from the date of purchase and requires that the product has been installed and used in accordance with Flexit’s instructions.
